Who We Are

UnitingCare Tasmania reports to the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania and is responsible for the provision of family and community services and social justice advocacy in Tasmania. All our work is inspired and guided by the principles of justice and compassion.
UnitingCare Tasmania delivers services that support and assist vulnerable families, children and young people and provides quality early learning and care to the local communities of Hobart, Launceston and Ulverstone.
Our organisation demonstrates a strong commitment to social justice and advocacy by speaking out on issues that affect the people we work with. This is reflected in our social justice charter.

The way we work

Throughout all levels UnitingCare Tasmania relays the workings of the Uniting Church to the broader community, keeping the Church in touch with the important issues and barriers in the community as well as keeping the community aware of the views of the Church.

These words ring true for us

“This is the beginning of a new day.
You have been given this day to use as you will.
You can waste it or use it for good.
What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever;
In its place is something that you have left behind…let it be something good.”
