Scots Early Learning Centre

The centre provides interactive, high quality programs for children from birth to 12 years of age through four different programs:

  1. Scots at Melville Street (long day care – 71 places) caters for children from birth to four years of age. The program promotes children’s individual development, curiosity, problem-solving and mathematical thinking through educational play and fun activities.Opening hours are 7.45am – 5.45pm. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided.

  2. Scots at Campbell Street Pre-Kinder and Kinder (long day care – 28 places) is an environment where early childhood teachers provide a high quality educational program for kinder aged children.Opening hours are 8:00am – 6:00pm

  3. Scots at Campbell Street After School Care and Vacation Care (60 places) offers a secure, fun and stimulated learning program for children to relax and enjoy after school hours and during holidays.Opening hours are 3:00pm – 6:00pm   or   7:45am – 6:00pm for vacation care

  4. Scots at Mt Stuart Before and After School and Vacation Care (60 places) offers a program that implements Reggio Emilia and Essential Learning Frameworks for school-aged children.Opening hours are 3:00pm – 6:00pm   or   7:45am – 6:00pm for vacation care

Scots Early Learning Centre is a not-for-profit centre which recognises the importance of the early years in human life and provides a high quality and stimulating learning environment incorporating values and ethics consistent with the Uniting Church in Australia whilst remaining secular in operation.

Pilgrim Occasional Care Centre

The centre provides high quality occasional child care for children aged from birth to six years.

Opening hours are 8.30am – 5.30pm

It is a not-for-profit centre which recognises the importance of the early years in human life and provides a high quality and stimulating learning environment incorporating values and ethics consistent with the Uniting Church in Australia whilst remaining secular in operation.

  • Caters for permanent bookings and occasional care
  • Offers full day, morning and afternoon and school day sessions, or the option of two or three hours of care up to 27 hours per week
  • Parents only pay for the sessions that their child attends.
